Port Said Governorate witnessed a set of regulatory and executive movements that resulted in the seizure of large quantities of unlicensed beverages, the detection of violations at gas stations, as well as firm handling of building violations and intensified preparations to face weather fluctuations.
Unlicensed factories and non-compliant gas stations seized
Intensive regulatory campaigns carried out by the concerned authorities in Port Said Governorate resulted in the seizure of more than eight thousand bottles of soft drinks inside an unlicensed factory located in the industrial zone of the South District. The seized items were confiscated and the necessary legal measures were taken against the violators in preparation for referring them to the competent authorities.
In a related context regarding the fuel and trading sector, laboratory examination of a sample of 95-octane gasoline taken from a vehicle refueling station revealed that it did not comply with standard specifications, following reports and complaints from citizens. Regulatory committees detected suspicions related to the disposal of petroleum products and the collection of other materials, in addition to taking the prescribed legal measures to follow up on the incident.
Regulatory efforts and environmental and developmental measures
On another level, the executive bodies in Port Said Governorate raised the state of readiness to deal with the winter season and potential weather fluctuations, by reviewing the efficiency of drainage networks and clearing rainwater drains, and ensuring the readiness of sweeping and suction equipment and operations rooms to ensure regular traffic flow and reduce water accumulations.
The authorities concerned in the South District, in coordination with the relevant authorities for drainage affairs, also followed up on the implementation of demolition works for two cases of illegal construction on the Bahr Al-Baqar drain, affirming the rule of law and preventing encroachments. The city of Port Fouad witnessed joint community events to support children and youth and promote values of tolerance and social integration through sports activities with the participation of local and international entities.
