Green Volt Group, through its arm Green Volt Power, has agreed to sell two battery energy storage projects in Poland to A&R Investments. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, after fulfilling the conditions applicable to such transactions.

Details of Energy Storage Projects in Poland

The agreement includes two independent battery energy storage projects located in northeastern Poland, namely the Ełk and Turośń Kościelna projects. The electrical capacity of each project reaches 200 megawatts, with an energy storage capacity of 800 megawatt-hours, allowing both projects to discharge at full capacity for approximately four hours.

The two projects were completed in the third quarter of 2026 and obtained the necessary operating permits, contributing to enhancing the flexibility of the Polish electricity system and supporting the integration of renewable energy into the grid. The projects have also successfully secured 17-year capacity market contracts in Poland starting from 2028, where each asset receives fixed payments for making 85% of its rated capacity available to the system.

Green Volt's Asset Rotation Strategy

This transaction comes as part of Green Volt Group's asset rotation strategy, which aims to sell approximately 70% to 80% of internally developed projects. This strategy allows the group to realize value from development activities and recycle capital to invest in new investment opportunities.

Green Volt Power currently holds a portfolio of battery energy storage projects reaching a capacity of approximately 4.6 gigawatts across its various markets. This deal underscores the growing market demand for high-quality energy storage projects, which attracts the interest of international investors to enhance the stability of energy systems.
