Regulatory authorities have introduced fundamental amendments to renewable energy support mechanisms, including the imposition of strict penalties on those who provide forged or misleading documents. Under the newly issued amendments, owners of production facilities proven to have submitted incorrect documents will be excluded from the final list of the relevant support mechanism, and previously paid amounts will be recovered, plus legal interest.
Details of Technical Amendments to Support Calculations
The amendments included a revision of the wording for calculating the total value of financial support and the cost of unlicensed production. Regarding facilities equipped with storage units, it was decided to adopt the basis of virtual records to determine the quantities of supplied energy, with the exclusion of energy drawn from the grid and stored from benefiting from the support when re-injected, to ensure the accuracy of operations and the governance of the renewable energy sector.
