A sports stadium has undergone comprehensive lighting system development work, aiming to increase energy efficiency and significantly reduce operational costs, in a step that reflects the accelerating trend toward sustainability, improving public facility infrastructure, and adopting smart energy-saving solutions.

Precise standards for brightness and operational efficiency

Training pitches, the track, and the main field were subjected to precise and intensive brightness and lighting tests in the presence of representatives from the implementing agencies and local facility officials, to ensure technical levels comply with internationally and locally approved standards. Technical tests carefully conducted after dark showed that the required brightness levels were exceeded at all measurement points distributed across the green area, as the new system recorded highly positive rates that precisely match the imposed athletic and technical standards.

Economic feasibility and sustainable returns

The engineering upgrade work included replacing old lighting units with more efficient and advanced ones, where dozens of traditional floodlights were removed and fewer, yet double-performance and effective, units were installed. This technical change contributed to a noticeable and direct reduction in energy consumption costs by more than half, making it a successful model for long-term sustainable economic investment. In addition to the significant financial savings on electricity bills, the modern lighting system features extreme ease of operation and control thanks to remote management technologies, which enhances facility management efficiency and clearly reduces the efforts and burdens of periodic maintenance. Technical and financial estimates related to the project indicate that the cost of the new equipment and installations will be fully recovered through energy consumption savings within just a few years, confirming the feasibility of generalizing this experience to various similar facilities.
