Entities responsible for gas distribution in the Indian state of Rajasthan are seeking to boost consumer interest in using natural gas through networks by offering incentive packages and exceptional deals to new subscribers. This move comes in response to noticeable hesitation from residents, part of which is attributed to previous conditions related to contract periods.

Incentive campaign and free offers

In this context, the Rajasthan State Gas Company, a government joint venture, has launched a promotional initiative granting new subscribers reward points equivalent to a monetary value invested in obtaining free natural gas. These facilities specifically include commercial establishments such as hotels, restaurants, guest houses, and hostels, in an attempt to expand the beneficiary base for this eco-friendly and safe service.

Strategic goals and expanding coverage

These efforts are part of a broader campaign implemented by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, which aims to connect cities and homes to direct gas networks within ambitious multi-year plans. Future plans target reaching record numbers of domestic natural gas beneficiaries across various regions of the state by the end of the current decade, compared to the currently recorded figures.

Benefits of relying on natural gas

Relying on residential natural gas lines provides 24/7 supply continuity, relieving consumers of the burdens of booking, storing, and transporting traditional cylinders. Furthermore, this alternative option is safer and more economical for consumers compared to other traditional choices, supporting the shift toward sustainable energy solutions in the domestic consumption sector.
