Data from a recent economic survey revealed the stability and resilience of the cooling, air conditioning, and heat pump sector amidst widespread economic and geopolitical challenges. The results showed that companies operating in this field are recording positive performance indicators that exceed the general economic averages, driven by increased demand for energy efficiency technologies and modern heating solutions.

Positive Indicators and Business Growth

The survey indicated that the majority of participating companies rate their current situation as good or excellent, while the percentage of those describing their situation as bad did not exceed very minimal levels. This positive state is reflected in the accumulated order backlog, as the average business waiting period for companies has increased, with operational levels remaining at high rates. The business and corporate sector accounts for the largest share of demand, followed by private sector customers and government entities.

Labor Shortage Challenges and Heat Pump Developments

Despite the stable economic performance, companies face major obstacles represented by a shortage of qualified labor, as a significant percentage of companies confirm that professional shortages constrain their operational capabilities and inhibit expansion ambitions. In a related context, heat pumps continue to represent a core pillar for the sector's future, despite challenges associated with political uncertainty. However, these technologies remain a long-term strategic option to achieve environmental transition goals.

Fluid Management and Ownership Transition Challenges

Companies face new challenges related to rising refrigerant costs and regulatory legislation associated with reducing fluorinated gases, which requires advanced technical expertise in recycling and handling alternative fluids. Additionally, the issue of corporate ownership transition and management succession poses a prominent challenge for many establishments in the coming years, requiring early planning to ensure business continuity and maintain market stability.
