Trontek Electronics is preparing to unveil its latest energy innovations during its participation in "The Battery Show India 2026," where the company intends to launch the "EKOM" battery energy storage system, which features a capacity of up to 5 megawatts. This unveiling represents an important strategic step for the company to expand its operations in the large-scale energy storage market, dedicated to industrial applications and major utility facilities.
Expanding the range of energy solutions
The new system is scheduled to be displayed at Booth C16 in Hall 18 at the "India Expo Mart" center in Greater Noida, India, from October 22 to 24, 2026. This move comes as part of the company's quest to strengthen its presence in markets that go beyond traditional electric mobility solutions, in order to meet the growing demand for flexibility in energy management as India continues to expand its renewable energy capabilities, which requires effective solutions to manage supply and demand fluctuations and improve the integration of renewable energy sources into national grids.
Growth and manufacturing ambitions
"Trontek" has over two decades of experience in battery technology and is currently operating with a manufacturing capacity of 3 gigawatt-hours, with ambitious plans to increase this capacity to 12 gigawatt-hours by 2028. These expansions support the company's strategy of strengthening its presence in the areas of mobility, distributed energy, and large-scale energy storage. Samrath S. Kochar, Founder and CEO of Trontek, confirmed that energy storage technologies will play a pivotal role in meeting India's future energy requirements, noting that the new "EKOM" system reflects the company's technical expertise and its ability to support the development of national energy solutions.
The company's business portfolio currently includes electric mobility solutions and energy storage technologies that include "POWERCUBE" platforms for residential applications, "NOVARA" for commercial facilities, in addition to the "EKOM" system for major industries. The company will also showcase inverter and solar energy solutions for distributed applications, as well as battery systems customized for telecommunications infrastructure and backup power.
