The Middle East Energy exhibition in its 2027 edition is moving to the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai, in a move that reflects the continuous expansion of this prominent international event. The exhibition is scheduled to take place from May 11 to 13, 2027, aiming to enhance its position as a global platform gathering leaders and experts of the energy sector from various countries around the world.

A New Phase in the Growth Journey

The decision to move to a new location comes following the remarkable success achieved by the 2026 edition, which witnessed wide participation of more than 1,500 exhibitors and welcomed about 39,000 professionals from more than 150 countries. This shift reflects the large ambitions for the 2027 edition, as organizers expect to attract about 1,900 exhibitors from 170 countries, in addition to expectations that the number of professional visitors will reach 50,000 visitors, confirming Dubai's pivotal role as a global hub for business and the exchange of expertise in the energy sector.

Sector Development and Renewable Energy

This step comes at a time when the energy sector is witnessing huge investments, especially in the Middle East and Africa regions. The year 2024 witnessed investments reaching $44 billion in the electricity sector in the Middle East and North Africa region, with expectations of these investments growing by 50% by 2035. The exhibition in its upcoming edition also focuses on the transition towards clean energy, as the share of renewable energy in total electricity generation in the region is expected to rise significantly during the next decade, amidst the increasing importance of investments in grid modernization and energy storage solutions.

Enhancing International Cooperation

Mark Rigg, Group Director for Middle East Energy, emphasized that the move to the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City represents an important milestone in the exhibition's growth journey. He explained that the new location allows for flexible indoor spaces exceeding 100,000 square meters, providing an ideal environment to showcase technical innovations and expand the scope of opportunities for exhibitors and partners to enhance their business and build new strategic partnerships in both developing and advanced markets. The 2027 edition will cover the entire value chain of the energy sector, starting from traditional and renewable generation, up to advanced storage solutions and smart grid modernization, keeping pace with the requirements of the digital economy and rapid global industrial growth.
