The Chinese BYD Group has unveiled its new car, the Denza Z9 GT model 2026, which belongs to the electric sports car category. The company is launching this model in global markets with various powertrain options, through which it aims to offer different levels of power and electric range to meet consumer expectations.
Design and Exterior Dimensions
The Denza Z9 GT 2026 features dimensions that reflect its sporty nature, with a vehicle length of 5195 mm, a width of 1990 mm, and a height reaching 1480 mm. The car relies on an extended wheelbase reaching 3125 mm, which provides stability and balance, and is adorned with LED front and rear lights, in addition to 21-inch aluminum wheels in the front and rear.
Engine Options and Performance
The car is available in two different versions of the electric powertrain; the first version relies on a single electric motor that transmits power to the rear wheels with a total power of 496 horsepower, with a single-speed automatic transmission. As for the second and more powerful version, it operates with three electric motors with an AWD all-wheel drive system, generating a total power of up to 1140 horsepower.
Battery, Range, and Top Speed
The battery capacity and driving range vary between the two versions; the single-motor version gets a battery with a capacity of 102.33 kWh, giving it a driving range of up to 820 km on a single charge, and a top speed of 240 km/h. Conversely, the version equipped with three motors comes with a larger battery with a capacity of 122.496 kWh, which allows for a driving range exceeding 1036 km, and its top speed reaches 270 km/h.
Interior Equipment and Technologies
The interior cabin includes electrically adjustable front seats and a multi-function steering wheel. The car relies on advanced technology including a 17.3-inch central infotainment screen that supports wireless connection systems, in addition to a 13.2-inch instrument cluster screen. The car also provides an entertainment experience for the front passenger via a separate 13.2-inch screen, with an advanced sound system consisting of 20 speakers and a four-zone automatic air conditioning system.
