Thang Binh Power Company, in cooperation with the Thang An Commune Youth Union in Vietnam, organized a comprehensive awareness campaign targeting eight residential areas, with the aim of promoting safe electricity usage practices among citizens, especially following the installation of new meters.
Campaign objectives and public awareness
The initiative, which came as part of local awareness plans, focused on providing residents with the practical skills necessary to handle household networks and ensuring the periodic maintenance of electrical wires and equipment. The sessions also included a detailed explanation of the risks associated with short circuits and electrical leaks and how to prevent them, with a focus on areas most vulnerable to natural disasters and floods.
Institutional cooperation to ensure safety
The awareness events were attended by representatives of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee, as well as technical staff from Thang Binh Power Company, led by technical officer Lam Xuan Bao. These efforts aimed to strengthen ties between the electricity sector and the local community to ensure the protection of lives and property, especially in areas located on riverbanks and regions most affected by harsh weather conditions.
Scope of implementation and community impact
The campaign covered several villages and residential areas, including Van Tien, Con Ba Luan, Tra Doa 1 and 2, Binh Thuy, Phuoc Chau, Huong My, Lac Cau, Nam Ha, and Binh Tinh. These steps come within the framework of the company's strategy to enhance social responsibility and proactive prevention of electrical accidents, as the programs resulted in raising citizens' awareness of the dangers of dealing with electrical networks and the impact of natural factors on them.
