Hyundai Engineering & Construction is intensifying its relentless efforts to expand its strategic presence in the global energy market by forging major partnerships with leading global companies in the renewable energy infrastructure and electrical grids sectors, which enhances its operational capabilities in various regional markets.

Expanded infrastructure cooperation in Australia

The company announced the signing of a memorandum of agreement with AusNet, which is the largest energy networks company in the Australian state of Victoria, for joint cooperation in the fields of transmission network infrastructure, substations, and system integration. The agreement was signed in the presence of Hyundai CEO Lee Han-woo and AusNet Chairman David Smales. AusNet operates key infrastructure including electricity and gas transmission and distribution networks to provide stable energy to the local community. This cooperation represents an extension of the previous strategic memorandum of understanding between the two sides, as cooperation expands to include system integration projects such as battery energy storage systems and data centers to increase the flexibility and stability of renewable energy, in addition to enhancing technical cooperation in the fields of engineering, procurement, and construction.

Partnership with major green energy companies

In a parallel step, Hyundai signed a strategic agreement with Denmark's Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, one of the world's largest green energy investment and management companies. The agreement aims to work jointly to develop new and renewable energy projects and upcoming infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region. The Danish company invests in multiple sectors including wind energy, solar energy, green hydrogen, and carbon capture and storage in more than thirty countries around the world. Since establishing its branch in Sydney, Australia, Hyundai has focused on expanding its business base through close communication with local institutions and companies, including launching housing development projects, as part of its endeavors to achieve practical commercial results in renewable energy development projects and energy grid construction.
