A startup in France has successfully developed an innovative system aimed at combating rising temperatures in cities by designing what is known as an artificial oasis. This system relies on advanced technologies to generate water from air humidity and power its facilities entirely via solar energy, significantly contributing to lowering external ambient temperatures without relying on traditional water networks.

Mechanisms of the Advanced Artificial Oasis

The new innovation combines natural plants with mist cooling systems to reduce the surrounding surface temperature. The system relies on an atmospheric water generator hidden inside urban furniture structures to convert water vapor in the atmosphere into liquid water. Intensive production often takes place during nighttime hours due to high humidity rates, where the water goes through precise filtration and purification stages to be ready for watering plants and use in self-cooling.

Results of Successful Field Trials

The first prototype underwent field tests lasting several weeks in a port, where measurements recorded a clear superiority; the surface temperature beneath the plants dropped significantly compared to neighboring surfaces, recording thermal differences that reached record levels. The test proved the unit's ability to produce sufficient quantities of water daily to cover its own needs completely independently of traditional infrastructure.

Future Vision for Urban Environmental Sustainability

The manufacturing company targets local authorities, ports, and major events to contribute to eliminating the urban heat island phenomenon. The furniture is made from eco-friendly and recyclable materials, with plans to expand reliance on renewable energy sources, supporting efforts to reduce carbon emissions and improve the quality of life in modern cities.
