Costco is a premier destination for shoppers seeking quality and competitive prices. Its offerings are not limited to food, but also include large household appliances such as gas grills. Since the introduction of "Kirkland Signature" grills in 2023, these products have attracted widespread attention due to their elegant design and advanced technical features.
Manufacturer and Grill Specifications
Although they bear Costco's private "Kirkland" brand, the company does not manufacture these appliances internally. Warranty and parts information attached to some models indicate that "Nexgrill," based in California, is the entity responsible for manufacturing these grills. The company has over 30 years of experience in the outdoor cooking equipment industry and supplies similar products to other global brands.
These grills come in various sizes, ranging from 6 to 7 and 12 burners, with prices that suit different needs, starting from small family meals to massive professional setups that include luxury stone-look outdoor tables.
Technical Features and User Opinions
The grills rely on 304-grade stainless steel, a material known for its high corrosion resistance and ability to withstand harsh weather conditions. Other notable features include LED-illuminated burner knobs that change color to alert the user if the burners are left on, in addition to infrared technology that allows for even heat distribution, which is an ideal feature for cooking meat in professional ways.
Despite the numerous advantages and competitive pricing, some grilling enthusiasts believe that other brands, such as "Weber," excel in terms of parts availability and ease of maintenance. Some consumers point out that private-label grills may be more complex to repair compared to traditional brands with a long history in the market, which opens a debate about the balance between financial value and the product's lifespan.
