Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized that the government is striving to achieve a balanced and precise equation between providing basic energy needs for various economic activities, and ensuring the continued delivery of essential services to citizens efficiently and without interruption.
He explained that these efforts come in light of global and local challenges associated with the rising cost of fuel imports, alongside difficulties related to providing the necessary financing to cover this growing import bill, which imposes continuous pressures on the general budget.
Fuel Financing Challenges and Supply Stability
Despite significant financial challenges and rising energy prices in global markets, the President of the Republic stressed the state's commitment not to resort to load-shedding measures, out of keenness to stabilize the electricity sector and avoid negatively impacting the production cycle in industrial and commercial sectors.
This orientation reflects the political leadership's keenness to protect the citizen and the productive sector from the repercussions of global economic crises, through the continuous search for alternative and flexible financing mechanisms that support the energy sector and ensure the flow of fuel to vital stations and facilities.
Supporting Vital Economic Sectors
Current government policies aim to maintain the continuity of work in various economic activities that represent the backbone of national growth, such as factories, companies, and major development projects, which rely directly on securing stable and sustainable energy supplies.
The relevant authorities continue to study and apply integrated solutions to manage the energy sector with high efficiency, including diversifying supply sources and rationalizing consumption, to ensure meeting the growing local demand in tandem with the urban and industrial expansion witnessed by the country recently.
