The village of Debono, affiliated with the Edكو Center in Beheira Governorate, witnessed the implementation of an expanded free medical convoy, which successfully provided 3,017 medical and therapeutic services to citizens during two days of continuous work. This initiative comes within the framework of continuous efforts to provide comprehensive health care in the villages and most needy areas within the governorate.

Diverse Medical Specialties and Diagnostic Services

The convoy included the operation of 8 mobile medical clinics, covering a wide range of vital specialties, most notably internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry, cardiology, in addition to family planning services. The convoy also provided specialized laboratory services for the detection of blood diseases and parasites, and performed various radiological examinations such as X-rays and ultrasounds to ensure accurate diagnosis.

Health Initiatives and Support for Treatment at State Expense

Within the framework of the "Check and Reassure" initiative, the convoy focused on early detection services for high blood pressure and diabetes. To ensure the continuity of care, a committee was allocated to prepare the necessary medical reports for cases deserving treatment at state expense, while providing referral forms to specialized hospitals for cases requiring additional examinations or precise medical interventions.

Expanding the Scope of Free Health Care

These health movements aim to expand the scope of medical services to reach citizens in their places of residence, especially in distant hamlets and villages. In addition to examination and treatment, the convoy provided health education and awareness services to citizens, along with dispensing necessary medications and medical supplies free of charge through the convoy's pharmacy, which contributes to alleviating economic burdens and improving the quality of health life in the governorate.
