The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) is witnessing growing interest from international companies looking to establish regional distribution hubs, a move aimed at strengthening supply chains and securing distribution operations amidst disruptions in various global regions. The Chairman of the SCZONE confirmed that the zone is working to meet this demand through a strategy based on distributing industrial activities according to precise specializations for each geographical area.

Regulating Industrial Activities

The industrial expansion strategy includes allocating areas with a specific nature, as the Ain Sokhna area currently hosts a package of chemical and engineering industries, while the East Ismailia area has been directed to focus on mineral resource industries. This approach aims to create an organized industrial environment that enhances competitiveness and supports the diversity of investment activities within the zone.

Developing Digital Services for Investors

As part of its efforts to improve the investment environment and overcome obstacles, the SCZONE management is working to enhance direct communication with investors to follow up on their experiences and provide effective solutions to the challenges they face. The zone has taken practical steps in this regard by launching 18 electronic services that allow investors to complete their transactions through a single-window system, which contributes to simplifying procedures and reducing the time required to provide services.

The SCZONE continues its efforts to attract more foreign investments by diversifying its industrial base and developing infrastructure and services, with a focus on providing a competitive work environment that ensures the sustainability of industrial and logistical growth, in line with the aspirations of global companies to secure their operations in the region.
