French President Emmanuel Macron has vowed to firmly confront anyone proven to be involved in spreading chaos or attempting to prevent peaceful protesters from expressing their legitimate demands, stressing that there is no place for violence within the French Republic.
Prosecutions and deterrent penalties
The French President affirmed that the relevant authorities will legally prosecute all elements that attacked shops and municipal headquarters, noting that the strictest deterrent penalties will be imposed on them to ensure the rule of law and protect the security and safety of citizens, in addition to protecting public and private property.
