The Elche football team is cautiously awaiting the charged atmosphere and tension surrounding the Vallecas stadium ahead of their upcoming confrontation, amid renewed fears of a repetition of the unfortunate events that led to the suspension of previous matches for the host team, Rayo Vallecano.
Intensive preparations despite concerns and a charged atmosphere
Rayo Vallecano returns to its stadium amidst strict measures and potential sanctions, including the partial or total closure of the stands, following the stoppage of a previous match due to objects being thrown from the stands. With the host team's fans threatening to continue protests against the management, concerns have escalated regarding the potential impact on the upcoming match and a repetition of the suspension scenario.
For their part, the Elche players are dealing with these facts with complete focus on the green rectangle. In this context, goalkeeper Matías Dituro confirmed that the team is fully aware of the surrounding atmosphere and what is being said regarding the possibility of suspending the match, but the players prefer to remain isolated from these external influences.
Full focus on the pitch and the goalkeeper's statements
The Argentine goalkeeper, Matías Dituro, explained in press statements that the team has prepared to play this confrontation with full focus in an effort to achieve a positive result away from home in the stronghold of Rayo Vallecano. He noted that issues of suspension or rescheduling the match remain outside the control of the players and technical staff, confirming everyone's commitment to the purely sporting side.
On another note, Dituro touched on his sporting future with the club, pointing to his feeling of great vitality linked to his current performance and his contract extending until mid-2027.
