Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mourad Arkab, chaired an extensive meeting that included a number of officials and executives of the ministry, as part of the ongoing preparations for the discussion of the Finance Bill in its part related to the energy sector. This meeting comes at a time when the ministry is seeking to mobilize all the necessary data and clarifications that will be presented before the competent committee in Parliament, to ensure the compatibility of the budget items with the strategic aspirations of the sector.

The meeting focused on studying various technical and financial aspects related to the sector’s budget for the coming year, as attendees reviewed the major programs and projects outlined in the national agenda. Special focus was placed on priorities aimed at developing the country's energy system, with great attention given to enhancing electricity production and expanding the scope of reliance on renewable energies, in line with national commitments aimed at achieving a sustainable and effective energy transition.
Enhancing investments and modernizing infrastructure
The meeting also provided an opportunity to assess the progress of implementing existing projects and discuss ways to enhance foreign and local investments in the energy sector. The discussion also included plans to modernize energy infrastructure to ensure it meets the increasing demand and improves the quality of services provided. These preparations aim to present a comprehensive presentation that clarifies the future vision of the ministry and reflects the development goals aimed at increasing the efficiency of the sector and its role in supporting the national economy, with a focus on the importance of precise financial planning to support priority projects that will contribute to the stability and development of energy production in its various fields.
