Stability of fuel prices in the Egyptian market and support for economic stability

The relevant authorities in Egypt's petroleum sector have issued their periodic decision regarding the pricing of fuel products. Gasoline, diesel, and butane cylinder prices have seen noticeable stability without any new increases. This comes within the framework of the state's keenness to control markets and provide stability for consumers in light of the current global and local economic challenges, and to ensure that citizens' daily activities are not suddenly affected.

Details of current prices for fuels and the transport sector

Official data issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources showed that gasoline prices of all grades maintained their previous levels; the price of a liter of 80-octane gasoline reached about 20.75 pounds, a liter of 92-octane gasoline recorded 22.25 pounds, while the price of a liter of 95-octane gasoline remained at 24 pounds. In the same context, the price of a liter of diesel remained at 20.50 pounds, which reflects positively on transport and operating costs, while the price of car fuel gas reached 13 pounds per cubic meter to encourage reliance on clean alternatives.

Butane cylinder prices and consumer protection regulations

Regarding household use and vital sectors, butane cylinder prices remained stable at 275 pounds for a 12.5 kg cylinder. These measures are part of the government's continuous efforts to achieve a balance between protecting state resources and meeting citizens' basic needs. The relevant authorities always stress the necessity of adhering to the approved official prices, checking weights and seals upon purchase, and ensuring invoices are obtained to guarantee consumers receive their full rights and to prevent any illegal practices at fuel stations and distribution warehouses.
